I have currently been making some illustrations for my new portfolio, I really wanted some hand drawn imagery on my site so decided to design the portfolio in ways which describe me, what I am capable of, as well as use my favourite styles.
This illustration ‘Butterfly in Blossom’ is a perfect example of my favourite styles of art,
I have always loved butterflies, and I love drawing them, and recently I noticed the birthday cards I send to people all display butterflies!
I just think they are beautiful creatures, and they compliment any floral image.
As for the blossom, I really love how much movement it can represent (especially in acrylic) such as the beautiful abstract art by Georgia O’Keeffe, which is where I get most of my inspiration!
