Today I further developed my character Rü by designing his feet!
I spent a lot of time researching kangaroos today!
I think the best way to make Rü move realistically, and look familiar is to research the movements as well as the anatomy to get realism into my work. I really liked the black footed rock-wallaby, as they are much shorter in the species (very similar to kangaroo) however I felt the red kangaroo was the best fit for the colourings of Rü.
After deciding which type of kangaroo I wanted to use for my character I could move forward and start designing!
Below is my first design of what the feet of Rü could look like. I added a little texture to the padding of the feet, and tried to fur on the foot a messy ruffled look!
